[Saint Doll] Arc 3 Chapter 23 – Common Sense of the Skies.




Several hours after saying their goodbye, the two of them had now become the “Sky People”




The strange vehicle that Shin saw earlier is, just as he surmised, an aircraft.

It will take one whole day for them to arrive at their destination, a parking facility for the airplane near the Academy. From that place their party will be guided with a carriage.




The pilot of the aircraft is the young girl that Shin saw before, she introduced herself as Tsubaki.

Right now she’s controlling the aircraft from the c.o.c.kpit that was separated by a single door.




“Now then, let’s have a calm and nice talk”

The woman named Akatsuki whose b.r.e.a.s.t.s are filled with confidence is sitting in the opposite of Shin. She introduced herself as an Instructor from the Academy, and right now she’s going to give some explanation about the place which is also the destination of Shin and Yuri.







“Firstly, does Yuri-sama agree to hide your ident.i.ty as a True Miko ?”

“I’m just a normal Miko that can be found anywhere and is contracted with Shin-chan, that much will be enough”




The two parties were in agreement that Yuri’s real position would bring forth a lot of trouble.

The Academy will still announce the second coming of the True Miko,  but they will hide the person’s ident.i.ty and announce that she will be protected within the Academy.

As for Yuri, she doesn’t want to become the center of attention. She doesn’t want her time together with Shin to be reduced, and while she’s at it, she also want to redo her student life that she didn’t manage to complete.




“Then I’m going to register Yuri-sama as an Apprentice Miko in the Miko department. As for Shin-sama, you will be registered in the special adventurer department and also the partner of an Apprentice Miko. Our timing is quite fortunate, the entrance exam has just finished so processing the required doc.u.ment shouldn’t be hard”

“What do you mean by special ?”

“It’s a department for the partner of an Apprentice Miko. They would be able to learn about guarding technique and also adventuring technique in there, think of it like a combination of Knight and Adventurer. It’s needed because the relation between the two of you is like day and night, it actually won’t be strange for the two of you to be isolated in a separate dormitory.




A partner is, in essence, the same as a couple.

This system was made for the people who would be troubled if they were put into the boys or girls’ dormitory.




“Next is about the Miko Department. These groups are composed by those who could act as Miko-sama’s reserve, they will be given priority in the matter related with Artificial G.o.d. The content of their lecture would be different according to the individual. The people in here are usually related with n.o.bles, wealthy merchant, and perhaps the child of their mistress too. Please contact us immediately if you encounter any problem with them. If it’s related to Miko-sama, people’s head could fly if they were too late to respond.




“Un-understood”




The [Academy] would accept around 300 students every year. Beside those numbers, there are also around 1000 residents who live separately.

From those 300 students, there are approximately 30 Miko, 10 to 20 special adventurers, 100 knights, 100 normal adventurers, and the rest are students in engineering department.




Those students will graduate in about three years, but many of them will fly to various places around the world to perform field trainings that can last for one year. So it’s not strange for the Academy to only house around 600 students

at a given time.




“Moving on, it will be fine for you to learn about the annoying details later, but there’s something that you need to understand immediately as Fallen People.

“Something we need to understand ?”




The two of them are tilting their heads, and then Akatsuki responded with a clear voice.




“It’s about the value of s.e.xual act for n.o.bility, commoner, and a Miko”

In regard to s.e.x, the two of them already know how warped the value of s.e.x in this world is. Then as they wondered what else there could be, Akatsuki slowly shakes her head and continue her explanation.




“In the beginning, both of you were surprised by the idea of s.e.x that the common people have didn’t you ?”

“One would behave like a chaste wife during the noon, but in the evening they would  spread their crotch for adventurers. This act of treating the adventurers like a privileged cla.s.s is something that is common, and girls in a village were raised with that idea in mind”

The two people who know that knowledge from Yutarika Village firsthand nodded their heads quietly.




“The situation is a bit different for the n.o.bility. They are similar to a Blessed person in principle, so purity is important to maintain the value that they have. They were educated thoroughly to not let those values go out”

“Educated ?”

“When they’re old enough, a boy will be paired with a woman who is connected by blood to act as their educator. The educating woman is going to have s.e.x with them when the boy wants to do it, and also whenever possible. And Just like how Shin was warned back then, his [Creation] can also have tremendous value depending on how it was used, after all the object that he can create aren’t limited to weapons only.




“Lastly, about a Miko. You might not know about this, but a Miko cannot make children”

“……Eh ?”




Shin went rigid after hearing Akatsuki’s words, however Yuri received the news calmly.

Shin has professed to Yuri for many times in this world that they’re going to make a child and then live a happy life. That’s why he had been e.j.a.c.u.l.a.t.i.n.g. inside her repeatedly with the intention of taking responsibility, however this new information is making Shin feels like he had done something cruel to Yuri.




“You don’t need to worry Shin-chan. Even if we can’t make a child, I know just how much Shin-chan loves me”

“Is that……so”

“A Miko can’t become pregnant because they converted the s.e.m.e.n inside them into Divine Power with the help of Miko Stone. How they collect the divine power itself is left to each individual. In case of Yuri-sama, it seems enough for her to just sleep with Shin-sama”




“By the way, didn’t you say there’s a n.o.ble too in the Miko department earlier? Isn’t that a bit different from what you explained?”

Shin asked a question that he just noticed suddenly, and then Akatsuki answered him.

“it’s because there are children from the n.o.bles who would awaken unnecessary blessings too. There are many n.o.bles who would invite Fallen People in order to obtain powerful blessings, so those girls would serve as a tool for political marriage. They were made to choose between being a Miko or giving birth to children until the limit of their body. Well, if they manage to obtain an Artificial G.o.d their position will change, so there are many n.o.ble girls who choose to become an apprentice Miko”

“I see”

“Incidentally, they are most obsessed with Fallen people and Heroes, so please be careful not to attract any unnecessary attention”

“More so than a commoner ?”

“For commoners, any blessed people will do just fine, but it’s different for n.o.bles.

The children of Fallen people can be born with a random blessing, so since there’s a possibility for them to change their position with the birth of a single child, they considered it worthwhile to obsess over it”




After saying that, Akatsuki moves into explaining in summary.




“There are many commoners who live and work in the Academy. their aim is to sleep with the male students. If the men targeted the female students, that can create a big problem, so they aimed at the girls in the Miko department who can’t become pregnant, but this part isn’t a big problem”




“About the students. If a girl invited the other party into their room themselves, that would imply a consent for s.e.x, so both parties need to be careful with that. If one entered a girl’s room carelessly, they could destroy the other person’s image”




“……I’m confident I will make a fool of myself if I don’t know about that”

Shin thinks that even thought this is a summary, it’s still long enough to take a note for.




“Please be careful when dealing with the opposite s.e.x. The ribbon that the commoners used have no meaning here since It’s not uncommon for a Miko with a partner to sleep with other men. If you make sure to refuse clearly, then there shouldn’t be any problems”




Then Akatsuki closed her explanation with the following remarks.




“The Miko department cannot be separated from the idea of s.e.x, so if you still want to keep the Fallen People’s idea of “Virtue”, then please make sure to connect your body everyday no matter how tired you are. If you manage to gather the minimum amount of necessary Divine Power, then your freedom should be guaranteed”




“We’re going to arrive soon aren’t we ?”




After that, they continue to receive various explanation about the Academy so they can understand the basic common sense that they need.

They also learned that the first headmaster is a Hero, and his wife is the previous generation Miko.

Besides that, the system of the Academy itself doesn’t differ much from the school that Shin know of.

And lastly, the two of them were surprised that they were offered a single residence to serve as their dormitory.




“There’s another pair of girls from Miko department living there, so the four of you are going to live together. You shouldn’t have any inconvenience with daily necessities and you can get some food from the cafeteria, but if you need pocket money you need to earn it yourself”

“Is there any Adventurer Guild ?”

“Yes, that should serve as an advantage for Shin-sama. The students without any field experience would need to earn money by doing ch.o.r.es around the town or doing some night job”

“By night job, it’s that kind of thing right ?”

“Even commoners would want to embrace beautiful people. One would be able to earn money by doing that kind of thing. Also while it might be fine for Shin-sama, but usually a partner of a Miko would be disqualified if they’re doing such a thing”

“Uh no, I’m not saying that I want to do it”




After talking this far, Shin noticed that Fea is looking at them with an amazed expression.




“What’s wrong ?”

“You have your earning from your adventurer days you know. You can live easy just from the reward of that Mad Boar alone”

“……I forgot about that”

“So Shin-sama had defeated a Mad Boar, how many people were in that party ?”

“Eh ? Just me alone”

“Huh ?”

“Hmm ?”




Shin and Akatsuki are tilting their heads as if there’s some discrepancy between their conversation.




“Did you do it with a trap ?”

“No, you could say it was a frontal a.s.sault. I stopped it by piercing its weak point”

“Haa……”




After the follow up conversation, Akatsuki began to press her head like she had just heard something wrong.




“I did it with my blessing too of course, there’s no way I could do that with body strengthening alone”

“Normally, such a thing would be impossible to do solo even for a veteran”

“Now that you mention it, I recall hearing that somewhere”

“Shin-sama, do you even need the lesson from the Academy ?”

“I don’t even know the content so I can’t say for sure”




While both of them are smiling awkwardly at each other, Fea who looks fed up starts to fly around in a circle.




“Yuri has the Seikishin too, so she doesn’t actually need to take a lesson. For them, school is a place to study about their missing common sense and also the place where their friend Shana went to”

“……It’s my first time hearing that”

“Fea knows because she’s been listening to their night rendezvous!”

Shin couldn’t say anything to Fea who is acting all smug in front of them. After defeating Varaha, there are too many things going on between Shin and Yuri, so he couldn’t remember the occasion when he had said all that.




“In any case, we have obtained a situation where we can act freely. We might be a bother, but please take care of us”

“Me too, I’m pleased to make your acquaintance”




Both parties are bowing their heads at each other.

Next to them, Yuri who had been staying quiet all this time is leaving toward the world of dream while using Shin’s thigh as a pillow.
