However, I do love the fact that it's never boring around here, between Zing Hunter's invisibility and Storm Ruffalo's shape shifting, I honestly feel bad for the teachers. I wonder how many kids enrolled in the school this year. I don't know how to feel about that."Lexus, I'm so happy to see you again, how have you been?" Screamed Samuel Starsprinkle."Hey, Samuel, how was your summer?" I responded, holding him in the tightest hug."Pretty good, I finally came out to my family!" Samuel answered, holding me tighter."Really, I'm so proud of you! How did your family respond?" I asked."Surprisingly well, they instantly got up and left without saying anything then they came back an hour later with a rainbow flag for my room," Samuel squealed."Let me guess you were so upset while they were gone." I asked questionly."Yep, but I decided to wait and see what happens." Samuel responded with a grin from ear to ear."Leave it to you to be curious and patient at the same time." I said, giving Samuel another huge hug."Have you joined a team yet?" Samuel asked questionably."No, not yet, I've been invited to a few teams but none that stuck out to me," I answered sadly."How about Stormy Reigns? That's the one that I joined," Sam asked."Honestly I've been wanting to join the Grim Reapers," I answered."That sounds perfect for you especially with your powers, death, fire and the cold. You should totally join!" Squealed Samuel."My powers are nothing compared to yours, poison and shape shifting." I responded, motivationaly. "Alright everyone, line up in your grade lines in alphabetical order," yelled Paul Diamondship. "See you later," I quickly say to Samuel."Later," Samuel responds.I'm in the ninth grade line, there's about a few hundred people in between my friends and I.An abnormally tall woman walks towards us, I a.s.sume that she's gonna be our new teacher. "Good morning everyone, my name is Mrs. Jerper, and I will be your new teacher. So, how about we head to the grade nine sector and get you guys tested," explains Mrs. Jerper."What are your powers?" A random voice yells from the line."Who said that?" Mrs. Jerper asked."Me, over here," yells the person again."What's your name?" Mrs. Jerper asked."Lukas Blue, So what's your powers?" Explained the boy."I have super speed and telekinetics, and you?" Asked the teacher."I control water and gravity," Answered Lukas."That's cool, let's continue this discussion later, let's head to the grade nine testing facility," Mrs. Jerper said, leading the group.This school is so big, but it makes sense since they're technically training sorcerers, warriors, medics, etc. Sorcerers are on top in this world, if you're ranked number one out of the thousands of people here then you are automatically a sorcerer. The ranks number two and three are sorcerers in training. Anything under that is just a regular old student being prepared for the world. My parents Mercedes and Richard finished this school in the top ten thousand, which is more amazing then it sounds. My mother is a doctor and my father is a field medic, with my powers I will likely end up being an executioner, but I don't want to do that, I don't know what I want to do but not that. My favorite part of this school would probably be the battles. I loved fighting with my team last year, but I loved the three vs three's that turned into one vs three's. I mainly like it when I win though, I'm a bit of a sore loser. We may have magical powers but we still have cla.s.ses like math, science, english, gym, music and so on. Like all of the other kids here we all have our favorite and least favorite cla.s.ses. Last year my favorite would most likely be gym and my least favorite would be science. "Alright cla.s.s, line up there's around thirty three thousand students in this cla.s.s, so I will not be able to put you guys in order so just tell me your guys' names before testing your magic power," said the teacher."Hey, I'm Anne Aubrey," stepped up Anne."Alright go ahead," responded the teacher.The way that we're ranked on the first day is to be taken to a sector for a certain grade and we attack a huge orb in the middle of the room with as much strength as possible then once everyone else is done we are given our rank out of everyone in our school.Anne Aubrey steps up and she starts staring at the orb, her power is mind reading, the orb turned green which means that she's done."What power was that?" Asked the teacher."Mind reading," responded Anne."Alright go take a seat," responded the teacher.In the army when you're getting your strength testing once you're done attacking the orb, it shows you the strength of your magic power as a hologram on top of it.I zone out for a few minutes, then I hear a loud bang, it seems that someone has blown a hole in the roof, nothing new there. "Looks like I'm up now, I'm Lukas Blue, I use water and gravity" Lukas says as he walks past Mrs. Jerper."Go right ahead," responds Mrs. Jerper.Lukas steps up and gives the orb a huge death stare, he breathes then he strikes, hitting the orb with boiling hot water, then freezing it with freezing cold water, using his gravity powers to break the ice. The orb sinks into the ground and turns green, Lukas brings the orb back above the ground and goes to take a seat in the back center of the cla.s.s."Not gonna lie, that was pretty cool," Mrs. Jerper says in awh.I wonder how my brothers are doing right now, I don't even know how their powers work, yin and yang? How's that supposed to work in an individual attack? Yin and yang are their only powers that I know of, how do they do so well every year?"Excuse me, ma'am, it's your turn now," says Mrs. Jerper impatiently."Oh yeah, sorry, I'm Lexus Deathchill, my powers are death, fire and the cold," I say quickly running up to the orb."It's fine, good luck," says Mrs. Jerper.I step up starting with my death stare, then I set the orb on fire attacking it from every direction, after that I freeze it by bringing all of the cold air around it, then I finish off my signature death palm touch. The orb turns green, I turn around and head for my seat next to Anne."That was… something," Mrs. Jerper slowly concludes. "That was so cool, Lexus!" Anne says to me."That was nothing, I could easily extinguish your flames," Lukas Blue said with a little laugh."Well I can be hot and cold, meanwhile you're just a water boy," I smile back."A water boy with gravity powers," Lukas says with a sly look on his face.I giggle. "That's so cool I didn't know your brothers were the Des and Troy," Lukas says with a gasp."I'm Shi Hakait.i.t, my powers are death and teleportation," Shi says speaking over everyone."Okay, go ahead," responds the teacher uncomfortably.Shi steps up and just disappears along with the orb."Don't worry guys he probably just teleported it on top of a building or something," yells Hakai Shinit, the second half of Shi Sos.h.i.te Hakai. It's been two minutes and Shi still isn't back, he's probably having a tea party with it or something. Not a second later he was back, "Sorry that I took so long guys, I accidentally scared a little girl, anyways it turned green, hey, Lexus," Shi Hakait.i.t turned and said."Hey, Shi," I quickly responded."I- I don't know what to say… good job I guess," Mrs. Jerper says, hesitantly. Shi walks over to where I'm sitting and sits next to me, "How was your summer?" Shi asks me."Well with Des and Troy being home almost all summer, it certainly was never boring, how was your summer?" I respond, noticing Hakai staring at us."Don't worry about her, you know Hakai she's always watching," Shi says, sarcastically."I heard that," Hakai yells from across the sector."It's true isn't it?" Shi yells back.Hakai goes silent and gives Shi a dirty look."Women," Shi says turning to me."Yay I'm finally up! Let's do this!" Yells Bryan Pino"Wait, I still need your name and powers," Mrs. Jerper quickly interveniens."Oh yeah, I'm Bryan Pino and I control emotions, fire, and EXPLOSIONS," Bryan says with a funny voice."Oh boy, go right ahead," Mrs. Jerper interrupts.Bryan steps up to the orb instantly setting it on fire, then he surrounds everything around it in explosions, finishing off with just staring at it. The orb turns green, Bryan turns around and walks away in slow motion with a huge explosion going off behind him. There's cheering in the crowd, and I don't think that Bryan's the one doing it."Well, that was… something," Lukas says, turning to me."Always leave it to Bryan to make a show," Shi and Anne say in sync.I quietly giggle, Shi and Anne always seem to sync up a lot especially when it comes to wild stuff like that."What are you guys doing for lunch?" I ask everyone."I'm planning on just going to Freshii," Anne says instantly."I love that place, let's all go together," Lukas says without hesitation."I've never been," Shi quietly says."Well looks like you're coming with us," I cut in."Can I come?" Hakai yells to us."Of course you can," I yell back."I am Storm Ruffalo, and I control the weather and I can shape shift," a voice cuts in."This should be interesting," Mrs. Jerper says with a smirk.Storm walks up to the orb, all of a sudden his eyes turned pure white, "Lightening and thunder, blizzard, blazing hot heat," Storm yells, "Shape shift, dragon!" Storm shape shifts into a dragon and head b.u.t.ts the orb, the orb turns green and Storm switches back, "Ow ow ow," Storm whines holding his hands to his head, slowly making his way to his seat."Called it," Mrs. Jerper says with a grin."I'll take him to the nurses office," Shi says, teleporting Storm with him."I hope he's okay," Anne cutts in, breaking the silence."He'll be fine, we have amazing healers after all," Lukas says, trying to cheer her up."Shi to the rescue," I say in laughter.I've been friends with Anne, Samuel and Shi ever since we were newborns, our families have been friends for generations, we used to have mud fights, pillow fights, magic fights and we'd even take baths together. My favorite memories with them was probably dress up, since we were kids we didn't know that certain clothes were for specific genders, so Samuel, Shi and Anne would wear princess dresses and I would wear knight armour and suits. My favorite combination would be when Samuel wore a Cinderella dress, with a knight helmet, cooking gloves, fancy suit shoes and wear a face mask. I still die from laughter every time I think of what I saw."I'm Hakai Shinit, my powers are destruction and teleportation," Hakai speaks on top of everyone."Shi Sos.h.i.te Hakai, Death and Destruction, go ahead," Mrs. Jerper says slowly with some sweat rolling down the right side of her head.Hakai walks up to the orb, one second later it's green and everything around it is destroyed."I have the feeling that I might die this year," Mrs. Jerper says, turning pale."Guess who's back, back again," Shi says teleportation on top of a desk."Shi is back, tell your friends," I responded back on beat."Hey, Shi is back," Anne says to Lukas quietly."How's Storm doing?" Hakai asks concerned."He was healed so well that he's too hyper to stay still," Shi says with a laugh."I'm guessing that we have a new school nurse," Lukas asks."Yeah, the last one retired," Shi says with a frown."Why didn't we hear about this?" Anne asks."Apparently she wanted to leave without anyone knowing, either that or she was fired," Shi says watching the students get tested."Neither is a surprise," I said."My name is Samuel Starsprinkle and my powers are takeovers, and poison," Samuel Starsprinkle says with the most serious look on his face that I think he could find."Go," Mrs. Jerper said bored.Samuel Starsprinkle walked up to the orb, and hit it with a poison whip, "Takeover Bastion Of Lok beast," Samuel yells, turning into a giant beast and attacks the orb. The orb turns green and Samuel changes back and joins us."What's the difference between Shape-shifting and Takeovers?" Hakai asks Samuel."Shape-shifting you can change into anything you want, takeovers you can only change into whatever you have slayn or been given the soul of," Samuel explains."So lunch?" Samuel turns to me questionably."Freshii," I replied."Sweet," Samuel says with a grin."My name is Stephen Stormcry and my power is resizing," Stephen says with shame and fear in his voice."Good luck," Mrs. Jerper says.Stephen runs up to the orb becoming thirty times its size and steps on it. The orb turns green, Stephen takes a seat in the darkest part of the room."He seems to not be very proud of his power," I turn to my friends.No one responds, I don't blame them, the power of resizing is one of the most disrespected powers in this world, mainly because it doesn't increase your magical strength, people with the power of resizing are also not allowed to be what they want when they grow up. They're lives are very controlled. At least they're allowed to be friends with whoever they want, as long as your family isn't that strict. We all sat in silence, watching one person after the other striking the orb, waiting for it to turn green. Luckily the orb has not turned yellow or red, it gets so boring when that happens, yellow we have a whole a.s.sembly on whoever got it but to this day none of us know what yellow even means. For red it's even worse, a whole statue is put up and a bunch of stuff is done for them, just like with yellow none of us knows what it means, I think that we're taught that either this year or next year. "Well everyone that concludes the testing, tomorrow you will be given your ranks and Friday will be the day that anyone that isn't in a team will be taken out of cla.s.s to decide which one to join. It's not required but it's highly suggested," Mrs. Jerper finishes, "Time for lunch." "Freshii, Freshii, Freshii," Samuel chants all the way to my locker."How do you guys think you did?" Anne asks."I think I'll at least be in the thousands," Lukas says, pride showing all over him."How many people do you think got kicked out today?" Shi asks."At least a few thousand, it sucks that if anyone misses the first day of school then they're automatically kicked out," Hakai responds with a frown. "How many of our friends do you think got kicked out?" Samuel asks, concerned."I don't think any did, don't forget, lots of parents don't want their kids around this much people because of how dangerous it is," I respond."There's also detention where they just put a magic cancelling bracelet on you and shocks you if you try to hit anyone," Lukas says."Yeah but it doesn't protect you from getting attacked, so if anyone were to pick a fight with you then you just have to sit there and take it," I say."Yeah that happened a lot last year," Shi said scratching his neck."Hey, Lexus, it's so nice to see you again," I turn around and see Zing Hunter running towards me."Oh hey, Zing, What's up?" I say looking around."I can't talk long or else Rebexca is going to see us, so have a good day," Zing says in a rushing voice."Well, well, well, already stealing boyfriends Lexus?" Rebexca says slowly putting her arm around Zing."Sorry," Zing whispers to me."Come one, Ring, let's get away from this loser," Rebexca says, dragging Zing behind her."My name is Zing," Zing says in a moan."Woah you know Rebexca?" Lukas gasps."Wish I didn't," I sigh."Why does she hate you anyways?" Shi asks."Because she's intimidated by her, just look at Lexus, she's beautiful, you can probably get any guy you want," Hakai says, motivatingly."You can certainly get Zing," Samuel says."Don't forget she'll leave any guy who has a rank lower than her," Anne says mockingly."I'll give them a day," Shi says with a laugh."You're just saying that because the ranks are being told tomorrow," Hakai responds smiling and pointing at Shi."Yep, and I'm aiming for six hundred and sixty six, just like every year," Shi says showing his fangs."You know you're supposed to try and be the strongest," I say."It's a statement, KaREn," Shi says sarcastically."You've always been a little demon," Hakai says. "Hey, lil' sis'!" Yells Des and Troy in sync."Hey guys, what's up?" I quickly turn and ask, they tackle me to the ground hugging me. "You know it's the younger siblings that are supposed to be more jolly and hyper,""What do you not love us anymore?" Des says, jokingly."Of course I still love you guys you're my big brothers," I say pulling them in for a hug, "What's actually going on?" I whisper in their ears.Their smiles fade away, "We need to tell you something," Troy says grabbing me by the arm and pulls me away."See you guys later, I guess," I say as I'm being dragged away."See ya," Samuel yells over to me.Des and Troy pull me over to a tight alleyway, then they change into the Ruffalo brothers, "Lexus Deathchill, we've been expecting you," Blaze Ruffalo says."I know, you brought me here," I say impatiently. "What do you guys want?"They both look at each other and then back at me with a smile."The ranks were already figured out," Storm says with a pesky grin."That's no surprise everyone should be done already, so of course everything is done and finished. So what does this have to do with me?" I ask."Want to know a few ranks?" Blaze asks with a smirk."Alright, Me, Anne, Rebexca, Shi, Des and Troy," I say curiously."You got 156/200,976, Rebexca got 68/200,976, Shi got 666/200,976, Des got 99/200,976 and Troy got 101/200,976," Blaze finishes."What about Anne?" I asked even more curiously."I don't think you want to know," Storm says nervously."It can't be that bad," I say."200,976/200,976," Blaze says slowly.I just stand there staring at him. I'm at a complete loss for words."I know, this must be shocking," Storm says, concerned."Why are you guys telling me all this?" I ask with a frown so low it reaches my collar bone."Because we felt like it, here, I knew you would be upset about it so I got you some ice cream," Blaze says, handing me the ice cream cone."Your brothers told us that ice cream always makes you happy," Storm said, trying to comfort me."Thanks guys," I said, licking the ice cream."You're going to be okay," Blaze asks concerningly."Yep, thanks for the help, guys," I say with a smile so big people may think that I'm insane."That's better, enjoy your lunch," Storm says waving me goodbye."Thanks, you too, guys," I say running to catch up with my friends. I start to think, of course Shi got 666, he always does. I would tell him but I think that he'll like the surprise better, now I don't know about Anne, should I tell her or should I not? I think I should tell her to help ease the pain, but what if she thinks I'm bullying her? I know that the Ruffalo brothers are telling the truth, because of their powers. They can easily change into one of the teachers and find everything out, and the princ.i.p.al will never know. They always did that when they were younger, they'd give themselves better grades, they'd get cookies and cakes for my brothers and I, although I never knew why they treated us so kindly, I guess that I'll never know. I start to catch up with my friends, they're smiling and laughing together. It makes me realize how insignificant I am in the group, they could easily replace me, I should just go. It's not like they will even notice that I never caught up with them. I see Anne look over to me. I can tell that she's reading my mind right now, she starts running up to me and gives me a big bear hug. She says to me with a big smile on her face, "Don't ever think like that again, you're not insignificant, we could never replace a lifelong friend, we were happy and smiling because we're all friends and we were talking about our memories together with Lukas." Everyone starts to run up to us and give us a huge group hug, warming me up like I'm living on the sun during summer. At the sight of Shi I start thinking about the ranks again, then I look at Anne, s.h.i.t, "I- I gotta go," Anne said walking away with a very disheartening smile on her face. "Anne, wait! I'm sorry!" I say running after her. "It's fine I just need some time alone," Anne says, a little calmer now. We just stand there staring at her with no regard for anyone trying to get past us. We finally lose sight of her, "Shi get James Aubrey," I say quickly, turning to my friends. "On it," Shi says as he teleports away."What's going on?" Hakai asks, worriedly.Shi teleports back with James, "Okay, what's going on?" James said, with a face and tone so angry it made me shiver."The Ruffalo brothers told me a few ranks," I said terrified."Get to the point!" James yelled at me, spit flying everywhere."Anne got 200,976/200,976, last place and she read my mind and found it out," I said, not making eye contact with anyone around me."What did I get?" Shi asked, whispering under his breath."666," I said, ignoring the murderous look on James' face."Cool, cool," Shi said, doing a little happy dance behind everyone."Alright, thanks for telling me, I'll try to cheer her up," James said, suddenly calm. "I'll get going now.""Okay, see ya later," I said."So what did you get Lexus?" Samuel asked, with a look he normally gives me when we're talking about boys."I got 156/ 200,976," I said with pride."Did you ask what Rebexca got?" The bell starts to ring, it's funny, we can be 20 miles away and still be able to hear it, mainly because one of the school janitors uses telekinesis, that can also help you talk to people through their minds. "Hangout after school?" Samuel says, turning to me."I'm available around 7, so you can come over for a sleepover," I respond, still thinking about Anne and replaying her reaction in my mind over, over and over again."Sounds good," Shi and Hakai respond in sync, teleporting us to our cla.s.ses."Can I come?" Lukas asks as we walk to our desks."Of course, my place is like the tardis from Dr. Who, bigger on the inside," I say with a giggle."Just like my heart," Lukas says, holding his hand up to his heart."I'm sorry but all I can visual is blood everywhere," I say with a sleaked smile and one eyebrow raised. "Alright, cla.s.s, settle down," The teacher yells, speaking over everyone. That's something that I find a little bit dangerous about magic school, We're only in the actual magic school for magic cla.s.ses, but for the rest of the cla.s.ses like math, science, english and that we're transported to a regular school and given power cancelling jewelry so then our powers won't work. Unlike the power cancelling detention bracelets at Central Powers High School, we can still get into fights and be able to fight back. Although, for gym cla.s.s we're brought back to CPHS because in lots of schools jewelry isn't allowed during cla.s.s. The reason why I don't like how we have to go to a normal school at all is because there could be a lot of students that are so proud about being able to use magic that they might tell someone, which happens regularly, which is why there are interviews before school, but that doesn't mean anything."What cla.s.s is this again?" Samuel whispers."English, I think," Shi replies."No way this is definitely Math cla.s.s," Hakai responds."I thought this was Science," Lukas says looking around."Guys, this is Drama cla.s.s," I interrupt."Wait, no way, what's with all of the numbers, grammar words and rockets all around the room?" Shi asks."This must be one of the schools where everything is taught in the same room," Lukas says looking at everyone going into a circle."I think that we're being too suspicious," Hakai says, joining everyone."Nah, I'm sure people wondering what cla.s.s they are in is normal," Lukas says, taking my hand and pulling me into the circle."Alright, cla.s.s, let's go around in a circle and tell something about ourselves," the teacher interrupts. "My name is Mr. Snider,""Hi, Mr. Snider," everyone says in unison, except for one boy."Alright let's start with you," Mr. Snider says pointing to a boy next to him. A boy with long brown hair, eyes as blue as the Bermundan oceans and clothes covered in video game and meme references. "h.e.l.lo everyone, my name is Julian Barber, and I had an addiction to oxygen for 15 years," Julian says with a smirk."Hi, Julian," Shi, Hakai, Samuel, Lukas and I all say in unison."Julian, that is completely unacceptable!" Mr. Snider says pointing to the hallway."With everyone talking in unison it might as well be an AA meeting," Julian says, giving my friends and I the thumbs up."Don't go getting a crush on him, he's a normal human," Hakai says whispering in my ear."His clothes have more references than any of the papers I will ever write," Lukas says, jokingly."I wonder if he'll ever live to get over his addiction," Samuel says, "We totally have to talk about him tonight.""Well now that he's gone, let's get back to work," Mr. Snider says, annoyed. That was rude even if he is or isn't in here the teacher should never bad mouth a student, especially around other people, they could easily lose their job, this teacher must have given up already. We slowly go around the circle, some people talking about their summer, family, pets, memories, some showing no energy or asking to be skipped which then the teacher would laugh at them, others showing so much energy where we listen to them talk for about 2 minutes straight. Then finally the teacher gets to us magic users, starting with Lukas."Hi, my name is Lukas and I invented gravity," Lukas says, looking down and smirking."Get out," the teacher says turning red with anger.Lukas walks out into the hallway and gives Julian a fist b.u.mp, now it's Hakai's turn."h.e.l.lo my name is Hakai, my name translates to Destruction," Hakai says showing her fangs."Get out," the teacher says even more red than before."For translating my name?" Hakai says, with a screech."Next," Mr. Snider says with impatients. Now it's Shi's turn, this should be good."My name is Shi and it translates to Death," Shi says showing his fangs and changing his eye colour to pure black."OUT!" The teacher yells. Now it's Samuel's turn he looks at me with a smirk, looks like we're testing the teacher's limits.Samuel stands up and begins to speak, "My name is Samuel Starsprinkle and," "Don't you dare," Mr. Snider says pointing at him with a fire in his eyes."I can turn into a dragon," Samuel says, already walking to the door. He's technically not wrong."I'm gonna kill everyone here," Mr. Snider says, face palming.Before Samuel leaves the room he turns and yells, "Also, I'm gay!" and he skips out of the room.The teacher looks at me indicating it's my turn, I stand up, slowly start walking to the door and say, "My name is Lexus Deathchill and I'm the Grim Reapers grand daughter," I leave the room. All my friends circle around me laughing at how red the teacher was, "He was as red as the deepest pits of h.e.l.l," Lukas says. "I don't even think he likes kids," Samuel responds, doing a little spin, and swings his arm around me."Mr. Snider never did, he lost his wife to his own unborn child. She died giving birth, the child even died as well," Julian said, watching Mr. Snider lecture the undiserving children."Why is he still even teaching then? Also, doesn't he know that other children aren't the reason for their deaths? Wait… how do you know that?" Hakai said, spurting out answers faster than we knew we were gonna be kicked out."He's still teaching because he's paid a lot to be a teacher, it doesn't matter if other children are guilty or not he lost his wife to his own baby, I know all of this because it was on the news and he keeps on reminding us of it." Julian responded without missing a beat."How long do you think he will last?" Lukas asks, watching him make everyone put their heads down."With us here, two months max," Shi says, looking into the other cla.s.srooms."So is he gonna invite us in or," Hakai asks, watching Mr. Snider start to yell at the other students. "I think we need to report this guy to our princ.i.p.al," Hakai whispers to Shi and I."He normally just leaves us out here for the rest of the day," Julians says as he's packing his stuff."Mr. Snider is going down," Hakai whispers to us again."Not just yet, let's give him a little payback for all of us kids," Lukas whispers, with a little demonic smile. Two hours pa.s.s by and the bell rings, Julian left two hours before we started making our plans to mess with Mr. Snider. Casual old pranks, buckets of paint on top of the doorway, whoopie cushion on his chair, a snake or some kind of bug in his drink. Nothing that really gets my heart pumping, if only Anne was here, she always comes up with the best ideas."Time for gym," Hakai says holding her necklace. The jewelry that was given to us can also transport us back to our school, warm our princ.i.p.al about something and we can even contact people with it."Alright let's head to the bathroom and get out of here," I say urgently."See you guys soon," Shi says, running to the bathroom.Hakai and I run to the girls bathroom giving the boys a little salute as they run past us. We both go into separate stalls not locking them just so then we won't bother anyone else who wants to use the bathroom, although I'm pretty sure Hakai locked hers. We sp.a.w.n in the desks that we sat in while we were being ranked, it already feels like I haven't been here in years. Our jewelry falls off of us and flies to the teachers jewelry basket, we can finally use our powers again. I start seeing people yelling in enjoyment and some even breathing fire everywhere, if they keep this up they're bound to get detention. I wonder how Anne is doing, I hope that she's okay, there's no way that she's the lowest rank in the school, I've seen some of the 7th graders and there's just no way. We start to head to the field for P.E, it's about three times bigger than our cla.s.sroom sectors. It has to be because of how big the cla.s.ses are and there's the supers powers, honesty the people during with super speed are so lucky, even though they have to do extra laps."Alright everyone line up! Thirty per row, quick quick, don't walk!" A tall man with long black hair, grey eyes, and a scar on his eye, wearing athletic armour coloured gold and red, the army general colours, yelled as everyone went into the line. "Alright everyone my name is Mr. Stern and I will be your P.E teacher. I would say let's go down the line and introduce yourselves but we don't have enough time. Alright, everyone, one hundred laps around the field and then let's play some dodgeball, go!""I have a feeling that this guy is a military veteran, but he seems pretty nice," Lukas says to me.Shi and Hakai teleport to us acting like they have super speed, "Yeah and he's going easy on us too," Shi says teleporting away."I wonder how mad Mr. Stern is gonna be when he finds out that they don't actually have super speed," Samuel says, skipping beside me."I'm surprised that you don't get picked on for being so opening gay," Hakai says putting her arm around him and smiling."I wouldn't be surprised if people were talking behind my back," Samuel says, keeping a perfect pace despite the fact that he's skipping."Well, at least you have us, you know that we'll always accept and be there for you," Shi says picking him up."Hey, put him down," you can hear the teacher yell from the other side of the field."You guys wanna speed things up a bit?" Shi and Hakai say in sync."Time to teleport," I say, acting like I'm about to use my totally existent super speed power.Shi and Hakai start teleporting us all around the field. I'm dizzy a majority of the time first I was going up by twos then fives, tens, twenties, and finally I was done and sitting on the bleachers, well, more like laying and trying to see straight again. "Gotta love having super speed," Lukas says, with his head spinning."Why are we wet?" Samuel asked, whipping his hair around in slow motion."We threw you guys in a pond at around ninety laps," Shi said, dripping all over the place."Why?" I asked, using my flames to dry me off."So then it looks like sweat," Hakai shrugged."Well thanks guys, hey, Lexus, can you come and dry me up as well?" Lukas asked, pointing at my flames."Sure, I'll dry you all up," I said, setting myself on fire. We were probably the first thousand to finish the run, the people with turtle speed, and the ability to fly just dragged their feet on the ground while flying around the field. The people with powers that don't even speed at all just asked the people with super speed to carry them. I have the feeling that n.o.body actually did all of the laps, maybe the hardcore athletes or the people with super speed that zone out very easily. I wonder what his powers are, he seems to be an army general, so they must be very powerful."Alright, everyone line up," Mr. Stern said pointing at one side of the field. "Before we start I'm sure that you're all wondering what my powers are, it's Super Speed and Super Strength. Also, only two out of a few thousand of you guys actually did all of the laps. The people that go by the name of Shi and Hakai please go get the dodge b.a.l.l.s. Now you guys are on this side and you on the other," Mr. Stern said, dragging his hand down the center of us and moving it to one side as if pushing us towards the side of our team."We got your b.a.l.l.s for dodging," Hakai said mockingly.About half of us laughed."Go line them down the center, also you two will be on separate teams," Mr. Snider said with a smirk as if they're competing.Shi and Hakai look at each other and smirked, then they started walking to their sides. Half of us line up on one side of the field, we're in layers, the faster ones in the front, average in the middle and the slower people are in the back row. On the other side where Shi is, is more all over the place they're all mixed together, I can already tell that people are going to trip over each other. Mr. Stern blows his whistle and the b.a.l.l.s immediately disappear, My friends and I start teleporting all over the place, so obviously Hakai is helping us. All of a sudden all of the b.a.l.l.s are on our side and Hakai is standing beside it. Hakai is just standing next to the dodgeb.a.l.l.s and smiling at Mr. Stern all of a sudden half of them are gone and Shi is standing next to them and smiling at Mr. Stern. "Please no," Mr. Stern says to them with his voice filled with fear. He's clearly humoring them.b.a.l.l.s start flying straight toward Mr. Stern and he's just standing there and taking it. Shi and Hakai seem to be enjoying themselves, smiling, and laughing. This year may be a good one, laughs, smiles, unicorns and rainbows, cla.s.sic happy stuff. Meanwhile in the 11th-grade sector, "Brix, what's wrong?" A tall blonde girl with sparkly blue eyes, who is named Olivia Time asked."They're in danger," I said, fear in my voice and shaking."What do you mean? Who's in danger?" A small boy with short brown hair, brown eyes, and is wearing all blue and green, named Rodrigo Lopes asked."Lexus and her friends, they're in danger," I screamed."Get as much information as you can before he forgets!" Olivia Time yelled."What's going on?" I said looking around."Too late," Rodrigo Lopes said slowly looking up."We need to keep an eye on them," Olivia Time said looking towards the grade nine sector.
